A Song In March
I will left up my eye to the hill
From where comes my Hope
With wings of gold it sails on to me
Reflecting the warmth of the sun
I can finally see my path a-new
I reach within my soul
I find joy everlasting
Birth from pain and tears
I see each scar heal to all
My eye is rich with vision
Out of my darkness I will come forth
Shining like my fathers words and love
A simple sheep stained with sorrow
Yet I stand upon that which is greater than I
I speak words of life and faith through hope
I walk amongst men a god, tested and tried
A diamond formed out of time and tribulation
I have ran many races and lost most
I have began many battles and lost many
Yet here I am with breathe and hope
Awake to all that is new and uplifting
I find that within, a new breed is come
Something unseen, unknown, unheard
My new me I bow to you once more
With the father’s words you will stand
My name is Stanley Boyce Bassey Nsemo livingstone
The son of Felix Okon Nsemo
I am a love child
Raised with hope and dreams
I carry my people’s flaws
I carry my people’s strengths
I fall, I bleed and I stand again…bloody and broken.
Now onto him that has kept me
Now onto him that has saved me
Now onto him that I call father
I will lift my eyes to you without fear
For a new day is come.

ODE TO A FEELING WITHOUT A NAME
To revert nothing but trust,
To watch each word light the day
To be blind to all but those words
To exist with trust in these words
Like morning dew, my words
To all that is wrong yet needed
To all that is new yet feared,
To all that is tested without time
I unveil my night without shame
In my nakedness I find warmth
A bizarre language, ageless to all but I
To speak in one tongue devoid of all expectation
To place hope in trusted hope beyond hope
I sail with nothingness
I sail in nothingness
My strength renewed from nothingness

In wisdom I sit
Entertained by reason
Words and thoughts
Just another procession
Within, I vibrate
Only freedom can imprison me
To the world I seek nothing
But within my quest is vast
Dream red as blood
Shouts, thunder and all
To vacuum they fly
With ease they die
Not heard, not said
Yet I wait for this second
Time untouched, yet to be
Nothing changed, nothing hoped
Just another year come to birth.

Un-coded Bar Beach WEED
The loud sound of nothingness
Strangling, reason is dead.
Trapped within words spoken so long ago
Indecision finds strength and soars
Knees to the earth, mouth open
Proceed you foul night
Let your lock prove timeless
In sight and sound
Of days and nights
Tepid I return to larva.

Un-coded
Un-coded
In my shell I exist
Fearful, afraid to live
Enclosed by my past
I drown in nothingness
A walk down that path
To trust a stranger without
To give life a peek within
Words and thought, indeed deeds
It starts with a word…my deed
A desire to be heard… my thought
To feel life once more…my word
Freedom lost to time…mine
Yet I bleed
Letting each word speak
Letting each word think
Alas they reveal too much
Excitement creeps into my soul
My words take flight…soaring
A placid smile breaks my fear
In life I stand…coded to the world
Un-coding…Un-coded to him

Insight
All my life I have lived in fear of revelation. Revelation of what, I am yet to comprehend. My desires and goals are filled with sinful, yet exciting things. Everyday I watch myself engage the world on different playing fields. This poem expresses a moment in time when I met a fellow poet. Unlike me, he was not lost. I needed his confidence, I needed his friendship. Time will tell how close we will become.
Like me, most people search all their life for a listening ear. An ear without judgment. An ear without the prosecution. Our souls need to release some kind of testimony. It brings life, even in darkness. That is where I stand.
